Chrno: We use the raws recorded from the HD broadcasts, but we decided to not provide HD fansubs, and thus downscale them. We did this because it requires a decent computer (in terms of power) to decode and play HD releases smoothly. I remember my single core 2.4GHz computer could barely play HD releases properly, way back when they were becoming popular. We want everyone, with a good computer or without, to be able to play our fansubs without any problems.

Thanks for subbing this. It’s truly an awesome thing. Many fans as well as myself have (i can’t put enough emphasis on this) waited for eleven years, not giving up hope! Let’s all hope that this season brings Slayers even more out into the open and pushes for even more exploits of Lina Inverse and The Slayers!
