Welcome back, minna-san! InuYasha 4Ever Fansubs is back as IY4Ever² Fansubs, and we’re going to be finishing our old projects: NANA and Gokinjo Monogatari. It’s just not in us to stop half way, could you? Well… maybe, but not us!
Also introducing a brand-new project: Slayers REVOLUTION! J.C. Staff, the production company that handled all of the past Slayers TV series, OAVs, and movies, will be returning to produce the fourth TV series. In addition to director Watanabe Takashi and series composer Takayama Jiro returning, all of the seiyuu have also returned to reprise their respective character’s roles. Here’s a little blurb about the series:
Having lost the Sword of Light in the previous battle, Lina and Gourry continue their journey in search of a replacement weapon. On the way, the two of them meet up with Amelia and Zelgadis in the kingdom of Luvinagard while taunting some pirates. Lina is happy to reunite with her old friends, but appearing before her is Luvinagard’s Inspector of the Special Investigative Unit; a man called Wizer. However, Lina is amazed at his unusual behavior…
In order to make this eleven-year transition into the new series as painless as possible, for both fans and the sanity of the translator, we’ll be using the original translations for the characters, spell names, and spell incantations from Software Sculptors’ official English releases (which was translated by Neil Nadelman). Most of them being very much correct by the second TV season, as well as being very familiar, we chose to continue using them.
